City rescinds 18 year skate ban downtown reopening
Skateboarders returned to downtown Riverside after the city council voted to lift an 18 year ban in the city centre. The move came as part of discussions on an e scooter pilot with two weeks of council meetings and public input from the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association. About 60 MHSA members gathered at Riverside Veterans Memorial Park to celebrate the vote and vow to participate in downtown growth.
