Fire destroys chicken house and 65 chicks at Milne residence
Fire brigade was summoned around 11 80 this morning to 404 Third Street where a chicken house burned. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze but 65 small chickens were smothered. The fire is believed to have started from a wind blown brooder.

Montreal reports based on AP and UP dispatches say the British liner Abosso was torpedoed off Fastnet on April 24 with 90 lives lost. Thirty six passengers and forty four crew perished. survivors were picked up 45 minutes later and taken to Liverpool.
