Edmonton forum on June 2 to introduce confirmed candidates. Lukaszuk may join. Prentice leads among Tory lawmakers with 17 endorsements. McIver pledges a populist bid to curb spending scandals.

End to homelessness outlined with 50 housing units in Medicine Hat
Medicine Hat Mayor Ted Clugston described a five year plan to end homelessness by adding 50 housing units costing 12.6 million dollars with the province and city sharing costs. MHCHS aims to house 290 people by March 2015 following a presentation at the Esplanade.

Woman and Grandchild Find Stability Through Housing First
Anita Lewis and her 47 year old granddaughter fled a violent home and spent seven months moving between shelters and cities. They accessed the Housing First program in Medicine Hat and now live in an apartment, but fear and insecurity linger as they rebuild with no family or friends nearby. Lewis, a cancer survivor in remission for four years, recalls sleepless nights and ongoing anxiety from past threats and the next possible disturbance.
