Calgary May 16 A Dingman No 1 well near Black Diamond continues to vent gasoline as drivers stockpile drums and trucks ferry fuel to city storage. Directors plan storage tanks while crowds overwhelm sale sites and investments top half a million dollars as oil fever spreads toward nearby leases and new prospecting efforts.
Maple Leaf Mill officials and city leaders witnessed a gas well blow at the site as plans firm for a 3000 barrel per day plant with 300000 barrel elevator capacity. Excavation to start within ten days. hundreds of workers expected. The mill will lie about 1000 feet west of Ogilvie Mills with CP Railway support and a spur track to follow.
General Villa's army, early this morning, prepared to advance on the Saltillo Federal garrison. News of a Constitutionalist 30 men routing 400 Federals near Paredon energized the ranks. Two men were fatally shot at a public dance in North Bay.

Judge Winter in Calgary ruled in the case of A. Erickson versus the Canada Cement Company that compensation for injuries is not warranted. The accident occurred while Erickson was erecting studding for building foundations in August, leading to a leg fracture and eventual amputation. The verdict favored the defendant with no costs.
