Moncton police officers in New Brunswick filed a 24 hour strike notice after 113 officers voted 92 percent in favor. Chief Greg Cohoon warns a walkout seems inevitable as talks with Saint John negotiators also deteriorate with a strike vote planned later today.

RCMP officer Michael Adrien Van Russell of Roberval Quebec was arrested in Miami on charges of selling a U S Drug Enforcement Administration confidential report for 2000 and negotiating for further 20000 in future copies The affidavit states an undercover agent posed as an organization member and money was recovered at a North Miami Beach condo He is jailed on 350000 bail awaiting bond hearing and faces federal counts including selling a thing of value to a U S agency and obstruction of justice
