TEL AVIV AP a cabinet minister said war with Egypt is unavoidable and will break out once Egypt is fully rearmed by the Soviet Union Police Minister Eliahi Sasson spoke at a rally in Ashkelon calling Egypt’s harassment of the Suez Canal a rehearsal for crossing the canal He added Egypt will go to war to end Israeli occupation of the Sinai. Sporadic clashes along the Suez Canal left one Israeli soldier dead and six wounded. In Jenin two Israelis were wounded when gunmen attacked a civilian car. In the occupied West Bank a curfew was set in Jenin and arrests were made in Nablus and Ramallah ahead of Israel independence day. Leaflets signed by Al Fatah urged strikes and demonstrations on Thursday.
