CDC Loses Millions In First Quarter Earnings

The Canada Development Corp. reported a loss of 24.9 million dollars or 94 cents a share for the first quarter of this year due to recession and high interest rates. Infant Dies After City Crash in Southeast District

A 22 month old boy died in a motor vehicle accident in the southeast part of the city Wednesday evening. Police said a man driving east on 16th Street S.E. struck the child who ran from behind a parked car in the 1900 block. The victim’s name will not be released until relatives are notified.
