Trudeau says carbon tax dispute won’t block Trans Mountain expansion
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Alberta opposition to a carbon tax will not affect federal decisions on approving the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. He notes discussions ongoing on whether Alberta will adopt the federal tax and vows action against pollution, if provinces fail to curb climate change. Kenney’s office urges swift federal approval for the pipeline. Christine Myatt of the UCP says they expect federal support to build the project.
