Brigadier Morton leads flood control and relief, asking western and central commands to advise on refugee accommodation. CPR announces 65 rail cars heading west to Winnipeg to serve flood-stricken areas. The train set includes 60 coaches, two commissary cars, and one restaurant car to support troops and crews. CNR adds sleepers sent to Winnipeg in the past day.

Residents can call 2614 or 4079 to send messages via hams who monitor Winnipeg emergency frequency 12 to 14 hours daily. The service, offered at no cost, aims to take over call communication if wire services fail.

It would have headquarters and staff to research ideological battles and promote pro enterprise policy, digest economists works, and battle socialism amid calls for stronger campaigns by business leaders.
Weather synopsis notes warm dry weather continuing across the prairies today and Friday with afternoon highs from 75 in southwestern Alberta to 65 in the Peace River area. A disturbance moving inland from the British Columbia coast will bring a few showers to the Peace River region Friday but no appreciable rain is expected elsewhere in the district.
