Toxic gas incident at Leigh Instruments sickens Toronto workers
Forty Leigh Instruments employees in Toronto were rushed to hospital after a spill of nitric acid and alcohol produced a toxic vapor. Police cordoned the area as firefighters neutralized the gas. patients reported shortness of breath and nausea but no serious injuries.

The Medicine Hat Police Association filed a February 25 1985 complaint in Court of Queen's Bench alleging Police Chief Norm McLeod interfered with an undercover drug investigation.
