City moves to fast track 33 million dollar maintenance bids
City energy officials seek to award eight turbine overhauls and related work slated for 2025 and 2026 to lock in prices and secure shop time amid high demand and inflation. Projected costs include 11 million for Unit 16 overhaul, 12 million for Unit 11, plus 2 million and 0.4 million for steam turbine work in 2025 and 2025, with 2.9 million for 2026. A hedge against foreign exchange risk covers about 19.7 million of the total.
