U S Planes Hit Hanoi Area In Fresh Raids
U S war planes raided storage depots barracks and training sites near Hanoi for the first time in three weeks. Carrier based aircraft flew about 15 miles west of Hanoi with at least two carriers in the Tonkin Gulf and roughly 150 planes available. No B 52s were used and no U S losses reported. North Vietnamese MiGs were reportedly downed by American sources.
