Michael Ziemann a 12 year old from Elm Street school risked his life to save Thorne Knapp 8 from Seven Persons creek near Kincoulee. A raft broke apart sending five boys into the water with Thorne unable to swim. Michael climbed down the cliff and dragged Thorne to safety holding a log as aid arrived. The rescued boy is recovering at home with no lasting injuries.
