Barnes will stay active in politics after not running
Three term Cypress Medicine Hat MLA Drew Barnes announced he will not seek re election in the current province race yet he will remain active in public life through his foundation Fast Forward Alberta and the End Equalization Now action committee. He plans to push democratic reform smaller government and public safety while not endorsing any party. Barnes has previously been independent after leaving the United Conservative caucus and will relaunch his two political projects after Albertans vote May 29.
