Two Social Credit members R. E. Ansley of Leduc and A. J. Hooks of Red Deer say they were turned away from a Social Credit meeting in Edmonton last night. Only cardholders admitted, and Hooks said they were pushed down the stairs as they sought to hear cabinet ministers.
Reported plans to evacuate up to 10 000 women and children from siege Bilbao as ships prepare to sail before insurgent guns seal the port. Over 4 000 refugees listed for tonight's departure amid Nervion river control and bombardment actions.
Reports from Seven Islands on the north shore of the St Lawrence river gulf say three trappers were found frozen in interior Quebec. All three were Seven Islands residents with two dying in lonely cabins about 25 miles apart and a third near Lac Gras about 250 miles north of home.
The Duke of Windsor arrived at the Chateau De Cant to reunite with Mrs Wallis Simpson. They embraced at the door and began discussion of marriage plans. Seven people from two families were hospitalized in Calgary after carbon monoxide from a gas water heater backed into the home due to a sparrow nest blocking a chimney. A dead sparrow and nesting materials were found in the vent pipe. victims included Sidney Smith and his relatives, with Donald Smith and Margaret Smith in serious condition.
May 4 Toronto. James Connor of the Ontario Labour Party says the party will run an intensive campaign to field Labour candidates in every riding at the next provincial general election. The party plans to back David Croll and Arthur Roe Buck, both former cabinet members who recently resigned from the Ontario government.

London May 4 The King and Queen surprised crowds with a Westminster Abbey rehearsal for the coronation. The King later presented colors to the Grenadier Guards and, in Buckingham Palace, received the field marshal's baton from Sir William Birdwood in a ceremony attended by seven field marshals in full dress.

A London office, a market information chief, and a publicity director will push cheese butter and bacon exports to the United Kingdom and Europe, with policy decisions by Hon Jamies Gardner and export trade targets rising in coming years.
