Mr A L Smith president of the Saskatoon Aero Club and pilot Mr Bythell arrived at the Exhibition Grounds on a High River to Saskatoon leg. The De Havilland moth will be used for training with about eighty pupils enrolled and gas and refreshments prepared. They planned to reach Saskatoon by six tonight after a fuel stop and lunch. Reports from Tsinan state Japanese casualties reached five killed and 28 wounded in yesterday’s clash with Chinese Nationalists, with Chinese losses and civilian killings feared. Japanese forces moved reinforcements from Tsingtao toward Tsinanfu as tension rose. calls for foreign protection and arms offers were noted.
