A twelve year dispute over 1 340 000 in damages from the Chambly dam collapse progresses after an Appeals Court judgment. The case centers on defects in dam construction by Eric and Smith Vails Company and contractor Peter Lyall, with Montreal Light Heat and Power now pursuing damages. The matter may go to the Privy Council for final resolution.
A P Day announces candidacy for the vacant Ward 1 city council seat following Alderman Howson's resignation. He pledges to advance Medicine Hat with sound principles and city-wide interests over any corporation or individual, and to support progress and improvement schemes.
