Prisoner Holds Hostage at New Brunswick Federal Prison
Gerald David MacDonald 20 of Windsor Maryland seized two inmates Monday afternoon at the Dorchester federal maximum security prison in New Brunswick. An officer began talking with him to avoid harm to the hostage while MacDonald, in a confused state, demanded amphetamines cigarettes and a talk with his brother. He released one inmate and kept the other hostage as talks continued.
