Hundreds of thousands of post-dated tax refund cheques reached mailbox this week as Revenue Canada officials defend the timing as efficient. Spokeswoman Brenda Scarcella says cheques arriving early reflect ahead-of-schedule form processing and that Canadians may still wait to cash them until April 2.
