Regular program admissions fell to 12 in February from 41 a year earlier at Medicine Hat College. Dr. Mel Tagg links the drop to Alberta provinces priority Employment Training Program started last fall. More than 200 students are in the program with government tuition and weekly living allowances. Critics say some self funded students resent government coverage and enrollment may dip as a result. The college fears reduced regular funding per student if admissions stay down while the program is ongoing.
