Toronto March 30. Private Bowie reports Major Gault of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry single handedly rescuing a wounded man in broad daylight under heavy fire. He was hit in the arm after three trips to lift the wounded, while stretcher bearers faced German fire.

Tommy Hall who lived here most of last year and ran a shoe repair shop at Fh HM and Eighth Ave was killed last week at Helena Montana. His brother Jim Lethbridge received word on September. The accident occurred while Hall was away on a viewing trip. He had enlisted at Lethbridge.
Dr C Boyd is to address the regular Tuesday meeting of the Young Liberal Club at 8 15 pm. He will discuss Sir Wilfrid Laurier and his work including Laurier’s political life policies tariff stance and reciprocity campaign. A large attendance is expected.

A devastating blaze last night consumed a warehouse and pool room complex including Tharn’s Taspiemnedt and the Lumber Co. promines. The fire began shortly after two o’clock and quickly spread, with firefighters unable to save the structures.
