Running to stay dry in rain study says walkers get wetter
U S scientists at the National Climatic Data Centre in Asheville found walking 90 metres in drizzle leaves a person about 16 percent wetter than running and 23 percent wetter in heavy rain. In tests two men of identical size wore the same clothes and weighed them after walking and running. the walker absorbed 250 mL of water vs about 100 mL less for the runner.
