Alberta Gas Chemical Ltd promises a $50 million plant at Medicine Hat with 300 jobs in four years and 50 permanent roles. Grande Prairie fields should supply about 25 million cubic feet of gas daily for 20 years, enabling AGCL to become the second largest methanol producer in North America once two new units, doubling current output, are completed in 18 to 24 months each.
