Province studies rebuilding Oyen Strathmore rail link feasibility
The Alberta government will study reopening the 286 kilometre CN line between Oyen and Strathmore as part of its economic corridors strategy. The million-dollar feasibility project would assess direct freight service across 80 000 square kilometres of the Special Areas and the potential cost of reconstructing the abandoned right of way.
