Five spies jailed as Macmillan vows security overhaul

London reports Prime Minister Macmillan assured the United States none of the spies who were jailed for leaking Royal Navy secrets obtained top nuclear or submarine information. He announced a security inquiry into Britain's underwater weapons centre at Portland and ordered a global Navy security overhaul led by a board of inquiry.

Oilmen kidnapped in disputed frontier region freed in Rabat

Eleven oilmen from Canada the United States Spain and France were seized in a border area between Spain and Morocco during an oil prospecting mission near Tan Tan Morocco. They were held three days and nights with one man slightly wounded when a truck windshield was struck. The group then was moved to Rabat where they were treated fine and later released. The captors used long tunics spoke Spanish and Arabic among themselves.

Censorship Abolished in Russia for Foreign Correspondents

Moscow reports that Russia has removed censorship for foreign correspondents. Mikhail Kharlamov, press director of the foreign ministry, warned of trouble for reporters circulating unfounded rumors and stated all dispatch copies must be kept abroad to verify authorship while in the Soviet Union.

Four city men Willard Baxter Md Boschee Bert Henwood and Orkus Klemm announced plans to build a 150000 meat processing and packing plant in Medicine Hat. The group expects at least 10 employees at opening and aims to wholesale meat locally with expansion plans. Land negotiations and a land sale are to be discussed at Friday's city council finance committee meeting. The 200 by 60 foot main building would house custom killing cutting wrapping and continental foods production.

City Engineer Maps One Way Plan for Downtown Medicine Hat

City engineer Allan Gunter outlined a proposed one way system for downtown Medicine Hat.
