CUPE seeks similar deal for Medicine Hat education workers
More than 6,000 education support staff across the province accepted higher wage settlements in nine agreements this week. CUPE local 829, however, has 250 workers awaiting a deal with Medicine Hat Public School Division after 235 of 274 ballots rejected a three per cent yearly raise over four years. The union says nine settled deals will shape Medicine Hat negotiations and notes controversy over executive administration after the February agreement.
