Premier Greenfield moved a resolution urging dominion government and transcontinental railways to help place Alberta coal on the Ontario market at prices competitive with American coal. The resolution passed unanimously with speakers from all sides supporting lower freight rates and experimental shipments to prove Alberta coal can compete. AprAug train loads planned during light eastern traffic to use Alberta lines at their slackest period.
