Toddler death case leads to murder conviction in Medicine Hat
T Jaye Heller pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the June 28 2011 death of a two year old boy in Medicine Hat Alberta. He entered the guilty plea at the Court of Queen's Bench in Medicine Hat and received an automatic life sentence. Police and ambulance were dispatched after a 911 call from Heller reporting the child unconscious and bleeding from the ear. A paramedic and officer testified Heller became confrontational at the scene and asked if the child was dead.
