Medicine Hat skip Doreen Des Harnais and teammates improved to 2-0 at the Canadian senior women's curling championship in Yorkton Sask as they defeated Quebec 7 3. Des Harnais led with efficiency as they scored a pair in the eighth and stole two in the ninth to seal the win while Des Harnais praised the keen straight ice and steady curling.

Canada’s first test-tube triplets born in Saskatoon
Frances and Karl Holowach of Edam Sask arrived at Univers ity Hospital with their triplet girls seven weeks early. Weighing two pounds eight ounces two pounds five ounces and three pounds eight ounces they arrived Saturday morning. Two are in good condition while the heaviest required assisted ventilation.

Canada Customs says it will block imports of immoral material despite a Federal Court of Appeal ruling deeming the practice unconstitutional.
