Fire raced through the 53 year old Hull Block in central Lethbridge on Saturday sending eight firemen to hospital for smoke exposure and injuries. William Short remained hospitalized with bronchial inhalation as flames caused heavy damage to eight stores and offices. The block owner estimates 250000 in losses, Empire Furniture stock smoke and water damage at 100000 after a two hour blaze.

Young Driver Jailed After Careless Driving Accident
Keith Barsness, 17, of Webb Sask, was jailed 15 days for careless driving and fined 79.50 for driving while suspended.
