Ontario battered by wind rain hail and snow

Strong winds rain hail and snow hit southern Ontario causing flooding evacuations along Lake St Clair and Lake Ontario shorelines. Winds up to 60 mph pushed water onto streets and homes while power outages occurred in St Thomas and Simcoe. Snowfall in Owen Sound and Haliburton could reach eight inches by Sunday with more freezing rain and hazardous driving tonight.

Coexistence Possible Between Army Training and Gas Project

Peace talks raise hope at Wounded Knee siege

A Justice Department spokesman returned from Washington to push talks with AIM leaders over the Wounded Knee occupation. Negotiations paused after Tuesday as about 200 AIM militants demanded reforms and held the village under siege with 300 marshals and FBI at roadblocks.
