Grain distribution to start next Monday in Alberta
Edmonton March 16 Special to the News The provincial agricultural department will begin seed grain distribution next Monday with agents at central points in unorganized territories. Municipalities lacking funds for seed grain and feed may seek aid from their councils to obtain necessary money. The department also arranged with grain companies to supply feed oats up to 400 bushels per farmer. Prices follow Fort William spot values minus Alberta freight, about 1.244 cents per bushel, plus one cent for car lot deliveries. Elevator handling charges apply per bushel depending on delivery method.
