Maple Creek March 15 Judge Qui sey handed down three stiff sentences in the district court. Frank Mitchell received three years in Prince Albert penitentiary for breaking into Cocll's hardware store. J McDonald of Swift Current was sentenced to 2 1-2 years for beating his wife. W Rieve of Tompkins drew three years for breaking into a shack and stealing several articles.
A Tennessee-born American, H. M. Burson, fired a Winchester rifle and a revolver at occupants of Johnson's boarding house on Avenue B in Saskatoon. Police stormed the room, captured him as he lay intoxicated, and found a loaded firearm, extra cartridges, a bottle of whiskey, and a revolver. a roommate reported Burson warned him to put out the lights before firing. Burson works as a fireman at the city power house.
