Medicine Hat to add ambulances and six EMTs in 2016
Alberta Health Services announced a larger EMS fleet in Medicine Hat with a new basic life support ambulance and six extra EMTs to start April 1. The city will have three ambulances on duty 24/7 and six during the day Monday to Friday to handle about 700 911 calls monthly. A NAT van will transport patients who can sit, staffed by two EMRs.

Target Canada to close Medicine Hat store in first wave
Target will shut 16 locations permanently on March 22 as part of a Canada wide closure plan that will cut 17,000 jobs. The Medicine Hat Mall lease is tied up in court actions between Target and landlords Primaris Management Inc. and other parties, delaying remarketing of the space.

Associate minister steps aside amid Alberta bribery probe
