Ryan acquitted on one charge in Edmonton court
Edmonton March 9 William Ryan vice president of United Mine Workers District No 18 was acquitted of tumultuous disturbing the peace. Nick Sullivan charged same count was fined 25 dollars and costs. Judge Taylor said insufficient evidence to convict Ryan of riot or unlawful assembly. Ryan earlier found guilty on January 23 of assault and was fined 25 dollars and costs today.
