Alberta Budget Seeks Refunding Plan For Debt
Alberta treasurer Hon. J. R. Love outlined a budget forecasting a deficit of 609,479 for the year ending March 31, 1936. A gasoline tax hike from six to seven cents a gallon is projected to raise about 450,000, with no other tax increases.
