Farmer Remanded On Murder Charge

John Krukowski, 65, New Brigden Alberta, charged with murder, appeared in Calgary court and was remanded to March 13 for a preliminary hearing without plea. The charge stems from a January 31 shooting that killed his sister in law Rose Krukowski and her four month old son.

Defence Minister Pearkes told a Duncan rally that the Conservatives inherited empty drawers and filing cabinets with no long range emergency plans from the Liberals. He said planning began from scratch and cited planned public works expenditure and aims to reduce unemployment while noting shifts in warfare with missile firing submarines and methods to counter them. Mrs. M. Woolley Services Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Maud E. Woolley age 73 were held in Medicine Hat. She died March 2 at 528 Aberdeen Street. Rev. John L. Paterson officiated from Fifth Avenue United Church. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery. Survivors include husband Lloyd Anson Woolley two sons Harold and Glenn of Medicine Hat a sister Mabel Scott Empey of Woodstock Ont and brothers Angus Scott Tillsonburg Ont Anthony and Harry Ostrander Ont and four grandchildren.
