Domestic rates stay, sliding scale on large use. minimum $1, no meter rental, 20 day discount kept. Class B industrial also on sliding scale. gas superintendent to judge eligibility with final say.
In Toronto on March day Alberta edged North Ontario 11 to 12 as Northern Ontario handed Western rinks a historic defeat in the Macdonald Briar. Bobby Alexander led Calgary early while James Shaw and Eastern curlers finished strong with multiple ends won. Other scores included Manitoba 6 Ontario 13 and Quebec 10 while Saskatchewan 6 and New Brunswick 8 trailed.

Berlin reports that talks between Adolf Hitler and British foreign secretary Sir John Simon were postponed at Germanys request. Officials blamed a cold prompting Hitler to cancel all engagements for the week. AP describes the move as a diplomatic form of cancelling the talks.
