Janet Goheen 28 escaped a 1.2 metre Ball Python found in a stove drawer of her eighth-floor Leduc Alberta unit. RCMP summoned veterinarian John Kessler who removed the snake and said it poses no danger to humans.
A full juror panel was selected in Alberta for Jim Keegstra s new trial after one juror was discharged for talking to a prosecutor and two others requested removal. The case concerns charges of wilfully promoting hatred of Jews at Eckville high school from 1978 to 1982.
