Palestinian guerrillas execute U.S. diplomats in Khartoum
In Khartoum the Black September group seized seven Palestinians and held two Arab diplomats and slain U.S. envoy Cleo Noel Jr and G. Curtis Moore after storming the Saudi Embassy. The Belgian envoy Guy Eid was reported killed. Sudan rejected demands for safe passage and ordered release of captives and bodies. U.S. envoy William Macomber awaited clearance in Asmara.
