Ard Thompson, a Salvation Army worker and mother of three, won 50 000 dollars in the Western 649 game on February 20 after matching five numbers and the plus. She told her husband she had four numbers then found five, and plans to help family and invest part of the prize. The ticket was bought at Food Land IGA on Maple Avenue.
