One woman died in a two vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway about 11 kilometres west of Suffield late Friday afternoon. An eastbound car collided with a westbound vehicle at 4:40 p.m. Three others had minor injuries. two were taken to Medicine Hat hospital and one to Brooks Health Centre. Names not released pending next of kin. Victims were not local to Medicine Hat area.
Police released two people held for questioning in the slaying of Prime Minister Olof Palme as investigators said they had no significant leads. Palme was shot at 11 20 p m near a bright intersection after attending a film premiere with his wife.
