Windsor Ont March 1 Seven hundred fifty cases of liquor and eight motor trucks valued near 100000 were seized at the Canadian Pacific Railway yard after a gang of fifteen tried to unload a whiskey shipment to fictitious recipients. Constable William Allan resisted bribe attempts, was assaulted and escaped by fleeing into a snowbank. Three quarters of the whiskey and the trucks were recovered, while the traffickers evaded capture. The seizure ranks among the largest in the area.
