Daughters of Job drill team wore new uniforms for the Golden Jubilee. Pioneers from before 1891 gathered at the drill hall for an anniversary supper and night show in their honor. Fifty six pioneers attended, with 30 registering for Saturday supper, listing names and arrival years from 1875 to 1890 plus participants from Medicine Hat and Eagle Butte.

Medicine Hat golfer Bob Macdonald, 23, defeated Walt Holden of Edmonton 7 and 6 in the 36 hole final to win the third annual International Oilman's golf tournament in Edmonton. A field of 144 western Canada oilmen competed over four days. Macdonald is employed at Turner Valley.
