Paris reports plan for the peace treaty signing Saturday while delegates note weakness in the German government. Mueller and Bell head to Versailles as Germany faces strikes, food shortages, and possible further turmoil with a counter revolution rumored in the east.
Stocks of wheat in country elevators mills and terminal elevators on June 13 totaled 10,023,006 bushels, down from 19,699,000 a year earlier and 5,414,009 bushels lower than the preceding week. Farm receipts for the week ending June 3 were 2,200,950 bushels. Flour production for the week ending June 13 was 1,797,999 barrels, part of a total 117,935,000 barrels from July 1, 1918, to June 13, 1919.
Helena Mont June 2 Continued drought plus hot winds and dry soil worsened the week for Montana crops according to the U S Weather Bureau weekly report issued from the Helena station.
Reports on yesterday's North Dakota referendum show roughly two to one against the seven Non-Partizan League measures passed by the last legislature. Also noted is the expected June 20 arrival of Gordon Head strawberries in markets.

New York June 27 An increase in the government guaranteed price of wheat from 2.26 to 2.30 a bushel at the terminal markets of Galveston and New Orleans will take effect in July. The announcement came from United States wheat director Julius Ioarnes under an executive order issued by President Wilson yesterday.

The 60 year old Butte, Montana miner was found near his wife’s grave in a local cemetery this afternoon. A bullet wound to the temple and a pistol in his hand led the coroner to declare death a self inflicted act.

Toronto Street Railway workers vote 1511 to 21 against accepting 48 cents an hour offered by the Ontario Railway Board. The wage dispute, triggering a strike since last Saturday night, continues as the men demand 55 cents an hour.
London June 27 The Irish Dominion League is formed by Sir Horace Plunkett and other Irish leaders to seek self government within the British empire. A manifesto will be issued soon. Signed by Horace Plunkett and other Irishmen, the league gains strong support among Irish workers.
British, French and Italian labor representatives announce a general demonstration on July 20 or 21 to protest allied intervention in Russia. Arthur Henderson, British labor leader, presented the plan at labor conferences in Southport.
The Northwest Grain Dealers Association releases its season first estimate for prairie provinces comparing 1918 and 1919 acreages. Wheat 15 526 000 to 16 085 000 up 3 0 percent oats 9 185 000 to 9 626 000 up 5 0 barley 1 955 000 unchanged flax 2 22 1 000 000 to 1 000 000 sandal 200 000 to 216 000 up 8 0.
The report lists oat prices for July and October with ranges from 76 to 78 and 72 to 75, barley values around 125 and 114 to 142, and flax figures near 490 to 451 and 487. It also notes cash prices for oats 76 1-8 to 78 6-8 and barley 126 1-4 to 322 1-4, with some rejected or farm feed grades.
At a special meeting the council approved referrals and empowered committees to act on 1919 budget items. Measures include water and fuel allowances for park staff, installation of two new drinking fountains, sidewalk work, and authority to provide shelters on the river banks and a swimming pool at Dent Park. Aldermen Hotson Finlay Bell McLarty announce adoption. Acting Mayor Huckvale retained. Ald Hotson to replace him during Winnipeg trip.
Berlin June 27 Gen Hoffmann once key in Brest Litovsk talks with Russia has been dismissed from his command in the Eastern District. He pledged to defend the district to the last man and would not recognize the peace treaty.
Ottawa reports a new order in council changing war service gratuities. The higher scale will be paid to overseas veterans with at least three months service, retroactive to November 11, 1918 for those who served overseas, and to those who served in Canada for a year or more.
In Vancouver on June 27 the Trades Council reported that strikers would continue their action after a brief meeting. Members accused civic officials of discriminatory conduct and vowed to remain on strike as details leaked to the press.
The government seeks construction of a new wharf at Naramata in British Columbia, calling for tower infrastructure as part of the harbor project.
