Premier William Aberhart officially opened Medicine Hat's first big time stampede. A lively Tuesday to Wednesday rodeo drew about 2 500 spectators with hundreds of cars around the track. Officials praised progress and staged events under a civic holiday, as champions battled broncs, steers, calves, and mustangs.
Tuesday afternoon events list winners in wild horse race, steer decorating, roping, relay, and cow milking at Maple Creek and Redcliff with names of owners and towns including Medicine Hat Carmangay Stavely and Heilberta.
