N. E. Nolan of Calgary appeared in police court and was sentenced to a year in jail for passing a $15 worthless check drawn on Merchants Bank Calgary at the Dairy Lunch. For similar $10 checks at three stores he received six months for each. all four terms run concurrently. Other unpaid checks noted but no action taken.
