CanWest letter bribe allegation surrounds Peace River air base bid
Terri Super of Super T Aviation says CanWest offered money to secure space or a hangar sale via a letter to justify operation in Peace River as part of Alberta Health Services air ambulance RFP. CanWest presented to Peace River council and says proponents may engage with communities, while Super denies any sale or lease. The contract winner for most bases is CanWest. Medicine Hat and Peace River bases lack CanWest premises.

Push for Change aims to raise money across Canada in fight against youth homelessness
Joe Roberts swapped a cross country run for pushing a shopping cart over 9000 kilometres to raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness. Starting in St John’s Newfoundland last May, the team has logged over 7500 kilometres and plans to finish in British Columbia on September 29. Roberts cites past street life and credits community support for his later success and emphasizes preventing homelessness through housing first investments. Visit thepushforchange.com for details.
