Kowal wins Bomber Class at Medicine Hat Speedway
Mandy Kowal tied a straightforward approach to win the main-event in the Bomber Class at Medicine Hat Speedway on Saturday night driving her 1980 Buick Regal. Al Brown won Legends ahead of Rick Blanchette and James Egloff, all from Calgary. Curt Clampitt of Glasgow, Montana won Street Stock, with Mark Weishaar, Jason Martin following. Vince Walker of Medicine Hat topped Mini Stocks after earlier heat victory by Kowal. A first-race crash marred the heat, involving Curtis Bachmier and Jesse Fitzpatrick. Sissons recovered to contend. Kowal had battled gear trouble May 31 and then surged to first place, saying she’d push the gas to the floor.
