Alberta Hospitals to Receive Additional Twenty Million Funding

Alberta hospitals will share 20 million dollars in extra funding this year as part of a 2.66 million allocation to Medicine Hat and District Hospital and others including Fort McMurray Grande Prairie and Red Deer. Calgary and Edmonton will gain three million by September to expand active treatment beds.

Ottawa weighs legal opinion on Husky stock collusion

Ottawa asked the justice department for a broad ruling on possible collusion between Occidental Petroleum of Los Angeles and Husky Oil of Cody to boost Husky shares. Carter visits Panama to seal canal treaties

President Carter travels to Panama City to sign and exchange documents finalizing U.S. control ending by 2000 and vowing neutral, peaceful relations with Latin America.
